Sometimes you just feel it right there in your bones.
This indescribable weight of inadequacy — of not knowing enough, not having enough, not being enough.
Not having what it takes because you are just not enough.
Something deeply missing that leaves you feeling fundamentally flawed — but you can’t quite put a finger to what it is.
You wake up realising that you haven’t really done anything with your life that gets you overcoming that fear.
And life keeps spinning.
Life is busy as it is. And motherhood? — one unending roller coaster after another. Then in the process of tending to all that demand your attention, you neglect the nurture of your little spark that needs a little cultivation. The dreams, desires, and delight that make you – you.
Sometimes we get ourselves spread so thin not out of necessity, but due to misplaced priority.
Instead of finding our deep satisfaction in God, we divide our attention to what quickly satisfies: toys, tools, trinkets. We look for the next quick success in the hope to silence those deep longings which crave for what truly satisfy.
Yet when God loves? He commits Himself wholeheartedly to us.
“Because He loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for He acknowledges My name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him; with long life i will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16)
He loves by going ahead of us, rescuing us.
He loves by committing Himself to us, protecting us.
He loves by responding to us, delivering us.
And the best thing? — He longs to satisfy our inner longings, showing His salvation to us.
He holds us fast even when we are losing our grip of Him.
His promises make a way forward for us— assuring us of His deep commitment for us.
He loves, He heals, He assures, He delivers, He protects, He gives, He vows, He provides — He is our all.
